Care

Every Giza Mills piece is made from pure natural fibre — long-staple Egyptian Giza cotton, linen or wool — with no resin coatings or synthetic finishes. A little care keeps it looking its best for years.

Cotton shirts

Machine wash cold (30°C) on a gentle cycle, inside out, with like colours and a mild detergent. Skip the fabric softener — it coats the fibres and dulls the natural sheen. Wash promptly, reshape the collar and cuffs, and hang or iron while still slightly damp.

Linen shirts

Wash cold and gentle, just like our cotton. Linen relaxes and softens with every wear — embrace the gentle, lived-in creasing, or press it while damp for a crisper finish.

Ironing

Iron cotton and linen with a medium-hot iron while the cloth is still slightly damp; press the collar and cuffs first, then the body and sleeves. A little steam helps. Hang shirts on a shaped hanger to keep their line.

Suits & tailoring

Dry clean sparingly — only when it is truly needed. Between wears, brush off dust, hang on a shaped wooden hanger and let the cloth rest 24 hours to recover; a light steam lifts creases without flattening the canvas. Spot-clean small marks, and store in a breathable garment bag. Never machine wash a tailored garment.

A note on natural cloth

Pure cotton and linen wrinkle a little, and that is the honest trade-off for cloth we never coat in formaldehyde non-iron resin. Cared for gently, our fabrics soften and improve with age rather than wearing out.
